What Are Hydraulics?
Hydraulic components fail in ways that stop machines completely, and they are usually replaced under time pressure with whatever can be identified from a body casting. The risk is that pressure rating, port thread and flow capacity all have to agree, and a fitting that threads in is not the same as a fitting that is rated for the circuit.

Port and thread identification is where most hydraulic ordering goes wrong. NPT, SAE O-ring boss, JIC 37° flare and BSPP are not interchangeable despite similar dimensions, so ChatMRO carries the port standard explicitly and will not substitute across it silently.

Can you identify a component from the casting or nameplate?
Yes. Paste whatever is legible on the body — a partial code, a casting number, or a description of where it sits in the circuit — and ChatMRO narrows against the catalogue and asks only what it needs to confirm.
How do I know which port thread I have?
Describe the thread and sealing face, or give the machine and component. ChatMRO distinguishes NPT, SAE ORB, JIC and BSPP and will not cross-substitute between them, because they seal on different surfaces.
Do you supply seal and repair kits rather than whole assemblies?
Yes. Seal kits are indexed against the cylinder or pump they service, so a repair kit can be quoted without replacing the complete unit where the barrel and rod are still serviceable.
Can hose assemblies be supplied made up to length?
Yes. Specify hose type, length and the fitting at each end in the RFQ and assemblies are supplied crimped and tested rather than as loose components.
What about obsolete Vickers or Rexroth valves?
