Adhesives are chosen by chemistry, not by name, and the failure mode is almost always a mismatch between the product and the substrate or the service temperature. A structural epoxy that is excellent on steel may not wet out polypropylene at all; a threadlocker rated medium strength on an M12 bolt is effectively permanent on an M20.

A two-part epoxy and a one-part moisture-cure polyurethane can both claim "structural" on the label, yet behave completely differently on open time and on a gap larger than a few millimetres. That means "removable threadlocker for an M12 bolt, oil-contaminated thread" is a complete specification rather than a starting point.

Where a product is superseded, restricted, or shipped under transport rules that affect lead time, ChatMRO surfaces that alongside the alternatives, so you find out before the order is placed rather than after. Tape backing and adhesive family are checked together too, since a foam-backed acrylic tape rated for outdoor mounting behaves nothing like a general-purpose cloth tape at the same width.
