How do I choose the right cable gland size?
Match the gland's stated cable diameter range to the actual outer diameter of the cable or bundle being sealed — a gland sized too large won't compress enough to seal, and one too small won't accept the cable. Separately, confirm the gland's thread size (metric M-series or NPT) matches the tapped hole in the enclosure, since thread size and cable range are independent specifications.
What IP rating do I need for outdoor or washdown use?
IP66 is the common minimum for outdoor exposure to wind-driven rain and dust, while IP67 or IP68 is specified for temporary submersion or high-pressure washdown environments like food processing lines. Check both the gland's rating and the conduit's rating, since a sealed gland on non-rated conduit doesn't protect the cable run itself.
What's the difference between standard and high-flex conduit?
Standard flexible conduit is rated for occasional bending during installation or maintenance access, while high-flex or continuous-flex conduit is engineered with a construction (often a tighter helix or specialized jacket) rated for millions of flex cycles, as required on robot arms, drag chains, and other continuous-motion applications.
Can I mix conduit brands and fitting brands?
