A regenerative blower (also called a ring compressor) uses a bladed impeller spinning at high speed inside a circular housing to repeatedly accelerate air around a regenerative flow path, building pressure or vacuum without oil, pistons, or sliding vanes contacting the air stream. This oil-free, non-pulsating design delivers continuous, contamination-free airflow at moderate pressure and vacuum levels far beyond what a standard fan can produce.
Facilities engineers and OEM equipment builders rely on regenerative blowers for pneumatic conveying, wastewater aeration, pneumatic tube systems, vacuum lifting, printing press vacuum tables, and other applications requiring clean, continuous pressure or vacuum. Their compact direct-drive design, oil-free operation, and quiet running compared to reciprocating compressors make them the standard choice over piston compressors or vane pumps wherever airflow purity and continuous duty matter more than very high pressure.
Common configuration at the 0.5 HP class: single-phase 115/230V dual voltage, 1-1/4" NPT inlet/outlet, aluminum housing and impeller, and roughly 45–56 CFM free flow with pressure/vacuum ratings in the 45–50 in.
