An electric actuated PVC ball valve pairs a PVC ball valve body with an electric motor-driven actuator that opens and closes the valve on command, replacing manual handle operation with remote or automated control. On receiving a continuous voltage signal, the actuator's motor rotates the valve through a gear drive until an internal cam trips a limit switch, stopping the motor in the fully open or closed position; a reversing signal drives it back the other way.
Water treatment operators, irrigation system designers, and industrial process engineers rely on electric actuated PVC ball valves wherever on/off liquid control needs to be automated, remotely monitored, or integrated into a control system — industrial process piping, pulp and paper, food processing, water/wastewater treatment, and irrigation are common applications. Their power-to-open/power-to-close design (holding position on power loss), corrosion-resistant PVC body, and wide multi-voltage compatibility make them the standard choice over manual valves or pneumatic actuation wherever electrical control signals are more convenient than compressed air. Upstream of the valve the transfer pump matters as much as the actuator — see solvent and parts washer pump compatibility — and on the panel side an actuator this size is a textbook load for a DIN rail mounted surge protection device.
Common configuration: 1/2" to 4" (up to 6" on some product lines) true union PVC bodies with EPDM or FKM/Viton seals, 24VDC or 110/115VAC single-voltage options, and multi-voltage 24-240V AC/DC actuators. Many models are NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 certified for potable drinking water use.
