What Is a Strip Door?

Standard clear PVC strips suit ambient-temperature applications, while low-temperature (freezer-grade) PVC formulations remain flexible rather than cracking in sustained sub-zero cold storage environments where standard PVC would become brittle.
Strip width and overlap percentage determine sealing effectiveness — wider strips with greater overlap between adjacent strips reduce air infiltration more than narrow strips with minimal overlap, at the cost of slightly higher resistance to push through. Yes — welding-grade tinted PVC strip curtains are specifically formulated to block UV and IR radiation along with visible weld flash, and are standard for isolating welding bays from adjacent work areas without fully enclosing the space. Standard clear PVC strips are not rated for this and should not be substituted.
How do I replace individual damaged strips without replacing the whole curtain?
Track-mounted strip curtain systems allow individual strips to be unhooked and replaced from the header track without removing the entire curtain assembly, which is the main advantage of track mounting over direct bolt-on systems. Replacement strips are sold individually matched to the original width, thickness and temperature grade.
