What Is a Plate Caster?
A plate caster mounts to equipment through a flat plate with pre-drilled bolt holes, rather than a stem that inserts into a matching socket, making it the standard choice for original equipment manufacturing and any application where the mounting surface is flat and accessible, such as cart frames and workbench legs. Swivel plate casters rotate 360 degrees on a raceway for maneuverability; rigid plate casters run in a fixed direction and are typically paired with swivel casters on the same piece of equipment for directional control.
