About Titebond

About Titebond

Franklin International opened in 1935 as the Franklin Glue Company and that same year pioneered the world's first ready-to-use wood glue, Titebond Liquid Hide Glue. The brand has since grown into a global name distributed across 60 countries on six continents.

Twenty years after its original glue, Franklin introduced the industry's first aliphatic resin glue, Titebond Original Wood Glue, another first-to-market innovation. The company continued pushing water-resistance standards forward, developing the first one-part wood glue to pass the ANSI/HPVA Type II specification and later the more stringent Type I specification with Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue, which created an entirely new category of exterior-rated wood glue.

Now a fourth-generation family business, Titebond has provided adhesive solutions for professionals, hobbyists, and DIYers for 90 years. Franklin International employs approximately 400 people across its laboratory, R&D center, sales and marketing offices, and manufacturing facility, all located at its corporate headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, and ChatMRO indexes the Titebond catalog so buyers can search by glue type, water-resistance rating, or application.
