About RegO
About RegO
RegO traces its roots to founder Charles Bastian, who invented the carbon dioxide cylinder valve in 1888 and designed the first products for the gas welding industry in 1908 before formally establishing RegO, short for Regulator and Oxygen, in 1918. In 1923 the RegO line expanded into the then-emerging LP-Gas industry, where its engineers worked alongside LP-Gas marketers to pioneer propane valve and regulator designs.
Over the following decades RegO introduced industry-defining innovations including the 1930s MultiValve, which combined several valve functions into a single unit for safer, more compact tank designs, along with Double Check Fill Valves, Pop Action Relief Valves, Chek-Lok Valves, and the MultiBonnet. Today the RegO product range covers cylinder and service valves, pressure relief valves and manifolds, globe and angle valves, excess flow and check valves, filler and vapor equalizing valves, and internal valves and accessories for the LPG, cryogenic, and LNG industries.
RegO now operates under the brand name Engineered Controls International, LLC (ECI), specializing in the design, manufacturing, and testing of gas and liquid pressure controls and relief devices worldwide. ChatMRO indexes the RegO catalog so buyers can search by valve type, connection size, or pressure rating to find matching components.
