About Roppe

About Roppe

Roppe was incorporated in 1955 as Roppe Rubber Corporation, founded by Thony Roppe with just seven employees focused on rubber products. Donald P. Miller joined in 1956, and the company grew steadily through the following decades, doubling its production capacity with a new mixing facility in 1979.

In 1985 Roppe purchased American Thermoplastic Extrusion Company (ATECO), expanding into vinyl flooring production and prompting a name change to Roppe Corporation to reflect its broader product line. The company's catalog now covers rubber sheet, rubber and vinyl tile, treads, wall bases, and flooring accessories, and Roppe has grown to become the world's largest rubber wall base manufacturer.

Headquartered in Fostoria, Ohio, where the majority of its products are still manufactured, Roppe operates under Roppe Holding Company alongside fellow American flooring brand Flexco. ChatMRO indexes the Roppe catalog so buyers can search by base height, color, or tile style to find matching flooring products.
