The Malish Corporation began in 1945 when John and Pauline Malish started Malish Brush & Specialty Co. out of their basement in Garfield Heights, Ohio, producing rotary brushes for OEM floor machine manufacturers. The company outgrew several successive locations as demand grew, eventually settling into a dedicated headquarters in Willoughby, Ohio in 1971.
Now led by third-generation family leadership, Malish expanded its manufacturing capacity multiple times, including a 1995 addition that introduced Malish Plastics, a dedicated plastics extrusion division supporting the company's broader floor care product line. Malish opened international operations with a facility in China in 1998 and now operates across the US, Mexico, and China with a distribution facility in Poland.
In 2016, after 45 years in Willoughby, Malish relocated to a 160,000-square-foot facility in nearby Mentor, Ohio to support continued growth in its floor machine brush, pad, and plastics manufacturing business.
