About Klever Innovations
About Klever Innovations
Klever Innovations was founded in 2005 around Jeff Kempker's vision of an extremely safe box-cutting tool, headquartered in Grand Haven, Michigan, where all products are still manufactured in the United States. With the manufacturing expertise of Matt Jacobs and the marketing experience of Orville Crain, the founding team grew that original concept into a full safety-cutting product portfolio.
The company's signature design, the Klever Kutter, features a recessed blade that keeps the cutting edge largely shielded from the user's hand, reducing the risk of laceration injuries common with conventional utility knives. This core safety concept was later extended into the Klever Koncept and Klever X-change product lines, broadening the range of blade styles and handle ergonomics available to industrial and warehouse customers.
In December 2018, Klever Innovations was acquired by Pacific Handy Cutter, strengthening PHC's position as a market leader in the design, production, and distribution of safety cutting products. ChatMRO indexes the Klever Innovations catalog so buyers can search by cutter model, blade style, or handle design to find matching products.
